Grade: 2.5 out of 5 (Satisfactory)

Rationale: The Graduate was a letdown for me because I had hyped it up after watching Dustin Hoffman’s performances in Tootsie, Rain Man, and Midnight Cowboy. Not to say he was bad in The Graduate, it’s just not on par with the others. On the other hand, Anne Bancroft as Mrs. Robinson did a swell job coming off as seductive and alluring when coming onto Hoffman’s Benjamin Braddock. While I appreciated the original songs created by Simon & Garfunkel for the movie, they were played over and over, becoming annoyingly repetitive after the third or so time through.
