Rationale: Avatar is quite possibly the most visually astounding movie of all time and a large screen to watch the movie on is absolutely needed to fully appreciate what you’re seeing. James Cameron and his team created an entire world bursting with plants, animals, and a human-like species that rivals not only what your wildest dreams, but at times what’s even real within our world. My only knock on Avatar is that the overall plot doesn’t seem super original (a group of people wants something and will force another group out of the way to get it, only to be resisted). The manner and imagination in which Cameron wrote the movie, though, helps to make up for the recycled theme. I’m excited to see the sequels that are currently being written.
