Rationale: Most notable about It Happened One Night is that Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert have excellent on screen chemistry. Clark sells being street wise and a cleaver very well as Peter Warne and Claudette plays an independent yet naive Ellie Andrews to a T. With only two recurring supporting characters of any relevance it was up to those two to carry the movie and they did so admirably. My only complaint is, of course, the two fall in love and end up together, which is far too predictable even considering late obstacles in the movie that make you think that might not be how it ends. Still, enjoyable up to the last telegram.
